Application are invited from eligible candidates of Scheduled Tribe Community from Paschim Medinipore, Bankura, Purulia and Darjeeling district for filling up the vacant posts of Constables in West Bengal Police.

Pay Scale: Rs.5400-25200 +Grade Pay Rs.2600 with usual allowances as admissible.
Age: 18-32 years as on 01.01.2011
Qualification: Candidates must have passed Madhyamik Pariksha (X standard) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government.
Nature of Test: The candidates whose applications are in order will be called for Physical Measurement and Physical Efficiency Test before Special Recruitment Boards. Only if the candidate is declared fit after measurement, he/she will be allowed to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test. Physical Efficiency Test will be a qualifying event. Only one chance will be given for Physical Efficiency Test, which will be conducted by the Special Recruitment Board.
